Katherine Cousins currently serves as the President of Sperry, a water-inspired global lifestyle brand with 85 years of heritage making innovative and sustainable products for life’s adventures both on and off the water. Previously, Katherine was the Vice President and General Manager of Kodiak, Terra and Work Authority, subsidiaries of VF Corporation. While at VF, Katherine held leadership roles in strategy, research, licensing, and corporate social responsibility at the Timberland brand.
Prior to joining Timberland, Katherine gained experience in international development, consulting, telecommunications and banking. She served as a Senior Associate at Dalberg Global Development Advisors, a consulting firm that provides strategic advisory services to international development and non-profit organizations. Katherine led efforts on behalf of Teledesic LLC to license global satellite service in Sub-Saharan Africa. Katherine also completed a banking and management training program at Chase Manhattan in New York.
Outside of work, Katherine is active in a variety of non-profit and community organizations. From 2008-2018, she served as the Board Chair for the Global Development Incubator, a non-profit organization focused on scaling social enterprises around the world. In 2017, she co-founded Leadership Now Project, an organization focused on strengthening democracy and increasing access to the political process.
Katherine received a Bachelor of Science degree in International Politics from Georgetown University, a Certificate of Political Studies from the Institut d'études politiques de Paris (Sciences Po) and a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School. She currently resides in Newburyport, MA with her husband and two children.
