The job:

As the primary Salesforce (CRM) administrator this role will be focused on refining and improving our Salesforce ecosystem; building reports and dashboards that serve the organization’s needs; developing quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) best practices for the organization, and supporting further development of the custom stakeholder portal application that facilitates data submission from stakeholders.                                   

The ideal candidate will have extensive Salesforce knowledge and expertise, along with a passion for utilizing their skillset to support many facets of a growing, global organization. A love of data organization, along with an eagerness to learn new skills and programs, will serve this role well. The ability to communicate in highly technical and also non-technical terms is essential, as is a willingness to collaborate and work cross functionally between teams. This role will also play a role in presenting data in creative and effective ways to highlight the impact of our network. The ideal candidate is a systems thinker that finds satisfaction in developing and implementing solutions to technical challenges.                                                        

Key responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary Salesforce Administrator for the organization
  • Support colleagues in building reports and dashboards to track progress toward team and organizational KPIs and metrics; lead QA/QC on report data
  • Work with supervisor to conduct and implement extensive Salesforce field audit and clean up, and build internal guidance for when to create or delete new fields
  • Lead development and implementation of best practices for data quality assurance and quality control within Salesforce and HubSpot CRMs
  • Support data storytelling and visualization
  • Support development of HubSpot workflows to ensure accurate contact information exists in both the HubSpot and Salesforce CRMs, and help refine the synchronization between the CRMs
  • Manage user permission for key applications in the tech stack in line with our security framework, to support onboarding and offboarding of employees
  • Work with supervisor and team members to learn about our company, culture, policies and this role’s responsibilities                                                   
Qualifications:                   
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification required
  • Salesforce Advanced Administrator Certification preferred, or, demonstrated  interest in and willingness to pursue Advanced Certification
  • Experience with other CRMs, particularly HubSpot, preferred
  • Some familiarity with Github, Firebase and Amazon Web Services is a plus
  • Strong understanding of data science and ability to store data creatively and effectively, for access by different systems and stakeholders, and skills to help showcase network data to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to leverage Salesforce and CRM expertise to support report development, metrics tracking, and further expansion of our custom stakeholder portal and directories application
  • Desire to learn new tools to directly support better systems integration for a  growing global organization

Location: 1% for the Planet is headquartered in beautiful Burlington, Vermont. For this position, we will also be accepting resumes for remote candidates.

Please note: Currently, no 1% for the Planet staff members are required to work in our physical office space, even Vermont-based employees. Our team is currently either working from home or working a closely monitored hybrid schedule between their home and our headquarters. Any work done at our headquarters by 1% for the Planet staff members that choose to utilize the space is closely monitored by our team to ensure safety protocols for COVID-19 are implemented, regularly updated and upheld. We will safely arrange for any Vermont-based hire to be able to use our office space, should they request it. We will also work with any candidates to discuss a remote work schedule that feels most safe to them.
